Our Birmingham (City) venue has long been an exciting hub for young people in Birmingham, used by schools, youth groups, CiCs and The Children’s Trust. In particular, we have been a proud partner with the DfE’s Holiday Activity & Food scheme.
The evolution of the venue now includes partnering with stakeholders across the City and wider region – including City Councils, WMCA, DWP, local businesses, FE Colleges, CiCs, The King’s Trust, West Midlands Police VRP. Additionally the partnership with Springpod brings on board the UK’s leading provider of virtual work experience, to provide a safe and friendly hub where young people can develop confidence, resilience, employability skills, learn, participate, contribute, feel valued and have some fun along the way.
Pathway to better futures:
The Teamworks Hub will provide immersive engagement and workshops, building confidence & resilience. Guidance and support on jobs, including informal meetings with employers across many sectors. Additionally further education and apprenticeship guidance directly connected to FE colleges and hands on practical development skills. The Hub is a place to inspire and motivate young people.
SpringPod
Springpod is an interactive, experiential virtual work experience platform covering over 100 sectors. Springpod enables young people to explore, interact and learn about jobs at all levels and look at career pathways & development to engage with the world of work before they apply or get involved in roles. It develops employability skills and offers certification after completion of employer-validated modules. The DfE is now endorsing virtual work experience as part of a hybrid offer for young people to learn skills and head into the workplace.
